Our Mission
To actively work to create an environment at Mississippi State University that is welcoming, supportive, and safe for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning and other members of this community) students, faculty, and staff as well as campus and community allies.
Our Objectives

To educate self, allies, and others regarding LGBTQ+ issues.

To promote understanding of the current campus climate with regard to LGBTQ+ issues.

To identify campus and community allies who are supportive of the MSU LGBTQ+ community.

To facilitate the provision of resources and support for LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, and others.

To advocate for the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

To promote opportunities for improving physical safety and emotional well-being for LGBTQ+ individuals.

To provide guidance for continued needs assessment, programming, and evaluation of the Safe Zone Advisory Board goals, objectives, and outcomes.
